Healthcare

HIPAA-Aligned IT for Practices, Clinics, and Specialty Groups.

Healthcare IT is shaped by HIPAA and HITECH, but it is also shaped by EHR vendors, practice management workflows, imaging systems, and an increasingly busy portfolio of connected medical devices. Cyber One Solutions supports clinical clients with a technology program that keeps electronic protected health information defensible without getting in the way of patient care.

HIPAA Security Rule Alignment.

We implement and maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards aligned to the HIPAA Security Rule, including risk analysis and management, workforce access, audit controls, integrity safeguards, and transmission security. A current Business Associate Agreement, a documented risk assessment, and evidence of ongoing control operation are delivered as part of the program rather than produced after the fact.

EHR, Imaging, and Clinical Device Support.

Our role is not to administer your EHR or PACS, which are best left to the vendor and your clinical superusers. Our role is to manage the network, identity, endpoint, and backup environment those systems run in, and to coordinate with the clinical vendor when issues cross boundaries. For clinical device networks, we implement segmentation that limits lateral movement and blocks non-essential internet egress.

Backups That Satisfy Both Cyber and Clinical Needs.

Backups in a clinical environment have to account for ransomware recovery, retention of records that patients or clinicians may request years later, and the practical reality that clinical staff cannot stop seeing patients for a full-day restore. We design recovery objectives around clinical workflow rather than around default vendor settings.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you sign a Business Associate Agreement?

Yes. A current BAA is executed at contract signing and updated as regulations or vendor relationships change. Subcontracted providers in the chain are flowed down appropriately.

Can you help respond to an OCR audit or breach inquiry?

Yes. We produce the technical artifacts that Office for Civil Rights investigators commonly request and coordinate with your privacy officer and legal counsel on response timelines. Proactively, we maintain the evidence library that makes a credible response possible to begin with.
